Until 1992 Robotas had sold MASCOT solely through its network of distributors, the move to larger premises enabled full time sales and marketing staff to be employed. The network of overseas agents was retained, to be supported directly from the UK.

Continuing development of the MASCOT product line saw the introduction of the LCD system. This low-cost slave workstation proved an ideal building block for networked assembly areas, comprising one or more MASCOT LCD's controlled by a MASCOT PC acting as master. Pursuing its policy of continued development Robotas enhances their already extensive software which now runs under '95/NT, further increasing their world-wide reputation for development and commitment to the through-hole and odd form placement requirements.

Graphic images imported by scanning or digital camera enables the operator to see what is being placed onto the PCB, thus opening a new market in assembly manufacturing. The software has already proved its worth after being installed along with their flexible Swift carousels to a company that manufactures solenoids. This UK based company did not require laser guidance as their production volumes are minimal, after evaluation, the benefit of component images displayed on the screen explicitly showing each assembly stage which makes up the solenoid soon became apparent. They have now been using the carousels and the software in this capacity for well over a year.

Continued export and UK successes with companies, such as APC (Ireland), HEWLETT PACKARD (USA), ASPEN LABS (USA), SMART MODULAR (SCOTLAND) to name a few, gives Robotas and it's dedicated team the satisfaction that PTH assembly is still prevalent in the new millennium. Ongoing development, improving world-wide sales and customer support will only add to our established reputation throughout the industry.

We hope to be of service to you in the very near future.
